Rugged CCL Tool The rugged casing collar locator (CCL) is a powerful tool designed for single or multi-conductor cable (89 OD only) operation. The Tool features a shock absorption detector built for perforation. The tool contains two groups of magnet that is used to induce a magnetic field in the casing. When it passes through a casing collar, the magnetic lines of flux are disturbed. The CCL coil detects these disturbances and the internal electronics processes the signals for transmission through the wireline.
